ZONING CONSULTATION
In some cases, particularly those involving expansion of a business that has existed on a property for many years, proposed development will not be in accordance with current zoning regulations. At the beginning of such a project I will review the relevant ordinance provisions and discuss the proposed development with municipal officials to assess the chances of obtaining zoning approval (variance, special exception, etc.) before other work begins. I will give you my best considered opinion of your chances and work with you to decide whether or not it is wise to proceed. I will also advise you on the necessity of using legal counsel for these issues. Each municipality handles these cases a little bit differently and in many cases we can determine very early if your desired plans are worth pursuing further.
